The Echo Ridge Board is calling a special meeting, August
17th, 7:00 P.M. at the pool. (if raining, we will still hold meeting at the pool under the covered area) The
Board is holding this meeting to request adjusting the by- laws from a $450 cap in dues to $550 cap in dues. The board has
weighed a variety of options and is unanimously is in favor of this option.
The reason for the request is as follows:
- It
is a requirement of the loan we are securing with the bank, thus, the renovation cannot happen without it.
(please go to the website to see the renovation 3D model)
- We have already spent about a $175,000 just renovating
the pool. This was necessary to repair the damage from the sewer line catastrophe and to bring the pool up to code.
(Please go to website see the pool during renovation)
- The club really needs $550 a year to stay on firm financial standing and to be able to appropriately
maintain our facility long term. This yearly rate is in line and less than many of our neighboring pools.
The renovation effort at present has moved forward.
We have submitted to Dekalb County for our LDP (Land Disturbance Permit) and should have comments back next week. We
have drawings going out for final bidding and are on track to begin demolition when the pool season closes mid-September.
We as a Board understand the sensitivity of this matter during our current economic times, but we began this process
of renovation many years ago and need this additional revenue to complete the effort.
Please join us on the 17th as this adjustment requires 51% of
the membership to vote it in. You can attend in person or via proxy (see website)
Thanks in advance for your support of the ongoing growth of our great club.
Thank you,
The Echo Ridge Board
